A triples team is made up of 3 players either male or female. Players can be new players or experienced as a handicap will be used
to even the matches up. (one substitute allowed per team).
Every player will be ranked based on Potters Player Rankings available herehere. If a player is not currently ranked they will be ranked
by the tournament organisers before teh competition starts and tehn reviewed after 6 rounds.
Maximum points for a team are 17. A teams ranking points is the combination fo the three players within the team on the night of
playing.
If a teams ranking is higher than the team they are playing, the lower ranked team receives a handicap equivalent to the ranking
difference between the two teams.
eg. Team A Player 1 = 7 points, Player 2 =4 & Player 3 = 2 points (Team ranking = 13 points)
Team B Player 1 = 5 points, Player 2 = 4 & Player 3 = 0 points (Team ranking = 9 points)
Team B receives a handicap of 4 frames (13 points - 9 points)
Each match will consist of 9 singles matches with every match being the best of 3 frames. Every player plays every player in the
opposite team best of 3 frames. (Min 18 frames & max 27 frames per match).
Player nomination fee is $50 per player of $150 per team which will be returned at the end of the season. (If a player does not complete
the season the nomination fee will NOT be refunded.
Weekly fee per playing player is ONLY $10.00. (If a team does not complete the season they will still be responsible for paying
for the full season or they will not be accepted in future comps).
If a player is not available on any given night the teams substitute player can be played instead. In the case of a team not being
able to play on any given night due to more than one player not being available they will forfeit the match unless prior arrangements
were made at least one week prior with the opposing team.
Prize money based on maximum of 18 teams and a 17 week season:
Top 4 1st = $3,600 / 2nd = $1,800 / 3rd = $1,200 / 4th = $900
5th - 8th 5th = $600 / 6th = $450 / 7th = $300 / 8th = $150
Trophy and medallions presented to winning team & best players on the night of the Grand Final.
